• 5/28/20 Pick and Fingerstyle Technique: This may be the most detailed analysis of pick technique ever written (at least by me!), particularly concerning George Benson’s technique (with his approval). It is also the original source of “Bad Gigs,” an excerpt that went viral almost 20 years ago. I developed it in the 70’s and 80’s, wrote it in 1999 and substantially edited/clarified/expanded it in 2020. I don’t know much more about picking than I did then, but I think and write better now. And how could I have left out the purple spandex jumpsuit?
